Lasors 2007
from the CAA contains valuable information for student pilots, bringing
together in one easily understandable book all flight crew licensing
information.
The aim is to give pilots a one-stop reference for all aspects of
safe aeroplane operation.

Some of the requirements listed in LASORS for a
PPL license are:

25 hours* Dual Instruction on aeroplanes
10 hours Supervised solo flight time on aeroplanes,
must include
5 hours Solo Cross-country flight time, which must include
one Cross-country flight of at least 150nm, during which full
stop landings at two different aerodromes different from the
aerodrome of departure shall be made as per
*Reduced to not less than 20 hours where an applicant has
been credited for Pilot-in-Command flight time on other aircraft.
